School of Education Faculty, Staff and Students Support the 2018 STEM Teacher Leader Summit

Twenty-three teams of educators from across the nation gathered in the Blackburn Center on February 23-25, 2018 for the STEM Teacher Leader Summit hosted by the Smithsonian Science Education Center and funded by Shell Oil Company in collaboration with the Howard University School of Education (HUSOE). Each team was challenged with developing a logic model for attracting, retaining and developing a diverse STEM teaching workforce in their districts. Five HUSOE faculty, staff and students had the opportunity to observe teams and provide feedback on models. Dr. Marilyn Irving served on the steering committee that made this work possible.
