Sajela Harlow is a rising Senior currently studying Elementary Education in the Curriculum and Instruction Department at Howard University’s School of Education. As a student in the teacher education program, she has had the opportunity to not only learn from elite and enthusiastic professors, but also work with a variety of students, building on her interpersonal and classroom management skills. A member of the Women’s Tennis team, Sajela incorporates hard work, dedication and passion both on the court and in the classroom. Recently, she was awarded Highest GPA on her team, was named Academic All-American in her conference, and has successfully secured a spot on the Dean’s List for each year of her enrollment. A Jackie Robinson Scholar and Uncommon Schools Teaching Fellow, Sajela hopes to use her intellect and passion for our underrepresented youth to help make an impact in urban education.
