Instructional Team
The Howard University Early Learning Program (HUELP) is conveniently located on Howard University's main campus at Building 58, 531 College Street NW, Washington, DC 20059. It is licensed in the District of Columbia, accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and a member of the National Coalition for Campus Children's Centers (NCCCC).
The program includes the Adele B. McQueen Preschool, the Howard University Kindergarten, and the Howard University Summer STEAM Camp. Each classroom reflects a community of learners bringing together children of various ages, interests and abilities. Our curriculum incorporates all learning domains – cognitive, physical, social-emotional, language, and motor development – and includes a respect for diversity, self-awareness, independence and self-esteem.
