HU STEM Achievers Program

Overview
Since 2015, the Howard University STEM Achievers program has helped middle school students build the skills, confidence, and curiosity needed to thrive in a technology-driven world. During this exciting two-week summer experience, students explore immersive media, digital innovation, and artificial intelligence while also engaging in cultural enrichment and physical activity.

Summer Immersion
STEM Achievers introduces students to the exciting possibilities within science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on learning and real-world problem solving.

Designed for students entering grades 6-8, this two-week summer program provides engaging experiences in:

Design Thinking
3D Printing
Augmented Reality
Artificial Intelligence
Social Entrepreneurship

No prior experience is required. Students learn by creating, collaborating, and exploring innovative solutions to real-world challenges in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Who Can Apply?
Students are eligible to apply if they:

Live in Washington, D.C., Maryland, or Virginia
Are entering grades 6-8
